MacKenzie-Childs Christmas 2026: the pieces collectors are watching

What is defining the 2026 holiday collection

The 2026 holiday assortment is built around oversized tabletop ornaments, storybook characters, mixed checks, tartan, and collectible annual pieces. Courtly Check remains the visual anchor, while Mocha Check, Gold Check, Red Check, Timeless Tartan, and Patience Brewster offer distinct ways to build a room without making every surface match.

For collectors, the strongest purchases are pieces with a clear annual date, a distinctive sculptural form, or enough scale to become the centre of a display. Small accessories can complete a vignette, but they are less likely to define a collection on their own.

• 2026-dated ornaments and wreaths
• Patience Brewster annual standing and resting reindeer
• Mocha Check gingerbread canisters
• Large tabletop ornaments and illuminated statement pieces
• Timeless Tartan greenery and entertaining pieces

A smarter way to shop the season

Start with the job the piece needs to do: anchor a mantel, build a tablescape, add height to a buffet, or become an annual collectible. Then compare scale, material, storage needs, and whether the design will work beyond a single year.

If you are buying on the secondary market, ask for photographs of the base, maker’s mark, original packaging, electrical components, and any dated label. Seasonal pieces are frequently stored for long periods, so check for missing parts, finish wear, yellowing, and damage from heat or moisture.

Odd & Found’s collector shortlist

The 2026 Annual Patience Brewster Reindeer has the clearest year-specific collecting logic. Large Courtly Check and Gold Check tabletop ornaments provide visual impact, while Mocha Check gingerbread canisters bridge decorative display and functional storage. The strongest buy is the one that adds a new silhouette, colour story, or annual chapter to what you already own.
